Telecom Cook Islands vision of being the #1 Telco in the South Pacific is now a reality according to a recent report by Network Strategies, at least with respect to the affordability of its broadband and mobile services. The 10 May 2013 report provides a comparison of affordability of telecommunication services in twelve Pacific Island countries, highlighting the Cook Islands as the most affordable.
CEO Jules Maher said “ Telecom Cook Island last week achieved a major milestone in its journey to becoming the Number One telco in the Pacific when its broadband and mobile prices were rated the most affordable among the 12 Pacific Nations compared (Network Strategies Report 10 May 2013). “We have been progressively reducing prices and knew it was only a matter of time before we got into the lead, but to be #1 for ALL the seven categories measured is especially pleasing” Jules added. “But we are not resting on our laurels –customers can expect more value for money before the end of the year, especially when O3B fast internet service arrives around October” he said “we want to go even further into the lead in the Pacific”
The benchmarking report compiled by Suella Hansen Founder of www.strategies.nzl.com is based on the price changes made by Telecom Cook Islands on 1 May, and was produced at Telecom’s request.
Telecom Cook Islands objective is to offer the best value for money telecommunications services that we possibly can and to reinvest in the latest technologies for the benefit of our customers.
